Jay Bee Why (Yeats) Wins At Loughanmore

Straightforward Debut Success For Son Of Yeats

Jay Bee Why (4g Yeats - Lady Bernie, by Supreme Leader) got off the mark on the first attempt when taking the second division of the Four-Year-Old Maiden at Loughanmore on Saturday.

The Colin Bowe-trained bay was ridden to chase the leaders by Barry O’Neill and improved into second two from home. Producing a strong challenge at the final fence, he ran on well to win by three lengths, the field strung out behind him.

Owned by the Milestone Racing Partnership, Jay Bee Why was a €40,000 foal purchase by Rathmore Stud from breeder Thistletown Stud. He is out of bumper winner Lady Bernie, herself a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Lordberniebouffant.
