Talented Daughter Of Yeats Completes Hat Trick
The Listowel Festival ended with a standout performance courtesy of Finest Evermore (4f Yeats - St Helans Bay, by Heron Island), who continued her unbeaten run this season in the Novice Hurdle on Saturday.
An impressive bumper winner in July, the Willie Mullins-trained bay won her hurdle debut by all of 23 lengths last month and was sent off favourite on her latest start over two and a half miles. Ridden to make all by Paul Townend, she went four lengths clear at the second last and was eased down close home to win by 13 lengths.
Paul Townend later commented, “When we got down to the business end she was very good. That's three nice performances for us and I think she's enhanced her reputation today.”
Bred by Paddy McCormack and Seamus Larkin, Finest Evermore runs in the colours of J Turner after being bought privately following her debut second for David Harry Kelly.
