Talented Son Of Yeats Gets Off The Mark Over Fences
Hang In There (8g Yeats - Jaldemosa, by Cadoudal) successfully transferred his talents to chasing on Sunday, when taking the Novices’ Chase at Uttoxeter.
Emma Lavelle’s charge previously won over hurdles on four occasions, including in the Grade 3 Supreme Trial at Cheltenham, and finished a promising second on chase debut behind Wild Max (Maxios).
Stepping up to two and a half miles at Uttoxeter, the son of Yeats was held up by Tom Bellamy and improved to dispute from three out. Soon pushed along, he was ridden to assert at the second last and drew clear on the run in to score by five lengths.
