Spinningayarn (Order Of St George) after winning at Inch point-to-point

Three More Point-to-Point Incentive Winners!

Three more qualifiers for the point-to-point incentive this week despite another spate of cancellations. At Inch last Wednesday, €60,000 Derby Sale purchase Spinningayarn (Order Of St George), bred by Niall Radford of Ballyconnor Stud, created a very favourable impression when landing the 4YO Geldings Maiden by a widening 10 lengths on his debut for Sean Doyle and the Monbeg Partnership. The gelding is first crop 4YO Point-to-Point winner number three for Order of St George – a total unmatched this season by any other sire.

Also at Inch, Mic Drop (Soldier of Fortune) kept on well to win the 5YO Geldings Maiden for David O’Brien and owner/breeder Peter Tarrant.

Then at Monksgrange on Sunday, Soldier In Milan (Soldier of Fortune), bred by Gerard Coleman, scored by 16 lengths first time out for Cormac Doyle and the Monbeg Partnership. The five-year-old is out of Time In Milan (Milan), a half-sister to Becher Chase winner and Grand National runner-up Oscar Time (Oscar). Oscar Time was bred by Gerard’s brother Edmond as was Cheltenham Gold Cup and RSA Chase winner Lord Windermere (Oscar). Soldier In Milan will likely next be seen at the Goffs Aintree Sale.
