Walk In The Park Foal Ex En Vedette

Walk In The Park Colt Brings €92,000 At Tattersalls Ireland

Walk In The Park provided the new top lot at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale on Tuesday, as a colt from Ballincurrig House Stud brought €92,000 from Richard Frisby.

Richard’s son JJ later told the press: “He has everything, walks well and a great pedigree. It is good price. She is still quite a young mare, has had some good sale ring results and done it all.”

The Frisby family had purchased a pair of Walk In The Park colts for €42,000 apiece the previous day.

Their most expensive recruit was bred by Louis Vambeck out of En Vedette, whose three-year-old Walk In The Park filly sold for £105,000 earlier this year, while her Flemensfirth gelding fetched €140,000 last summer.

Consignor Ballincurrig House Stud enjoyed another smart result with Walk In The Park earlier in the day, when Timmy Hillman bought one of his fillies for €50,000. “She will be for resale and is a lovely model,” Hillman noted.

Another Walk In The Park filly to prove popular was Clonbonny Stud’s bay out of Graded performer Penny Jane. After securing the April-born foal for €60,000, agent Gerry Hogan commented: “She is lovely sort, by a top sire and looks a real racing prospect.”
