Hob House (4g Walk In The Park - Tante Sissi, by Lesotho) continued a terrific run by Walk In The Park’s latest four-year-old crop when making a winning debut at Southwell on Wednesday.

Trained by Nicky Henderson for JP McManus, the bay was sent off favourite for the two mile bumper and made all of the running under Aidan Coleman. Quickening on the run for home, he was ridden from two furlongs out and, despite showing signs of inexperience, kept on to score by a length and a quarter from Brorson (Getaway).

Hob House was bred by Oliver Pawle and is the first foal out of Tante Sissi, a Listed winning half-sister to Epatante.

Walk In The Park's latest four-year-olds announced themselves with an impressive treble at Punchestown and on Wednesday one of those winners,Ernest Gray (Walk In The Park), rewarded Colin Bowe at Wednesday’s Tattersalls Cheltenham Sale, when selling for £105,000.

“Ernest Gray is a nice horse who jumps well at home,” Bowe later commented.” He was doing his best work at the end of the bumper, so he’s going to be one to watch going forward.”

Anthony Bromley of Highflyer Bloodstock signed the docket for the debut winner, while the runner-up of the bumper, How Will I Know (Ocovango), was knocked down to Kevin Ross.
