Walk In The Park Mare Beats The Boys In Bumper
Point-to-point winner Lady Kluck (4f Walk In The Park – Dream Function, by King’s Theatre) got off the mark for new connections in Friday’s bumper at Sedgefield.
The four-year-old made a successful debut for Donnchadh Doyle at Bartlemy in May, before selling to Craig and Laura Buckingham, who sent the mare to Dan Skelton. Third on her rules debut two months ago, she was partnered by Tristan Durrell on Friday and raced prominently throughout the two mile and one furlong contest. Ridden from two furlongs out, she rallied to lead inside the final furlong and kept on well to beat Noble George (Order Of St George) by three and a quarter lengths.
Bred by B&O Cloney Headfield Farm, the Walk In The Park mare provides a timely update for her Vadamos half-brother who sells at the Goffs December NH Sale.
