Bioluminescence (Walk In The Park) Wins Grade 3 Mares Novice Hurdle At Limerick

Walk In The Park Mare Follows Up With Grade 3 Win

Bioluminescence (6m Walk In The Park – Molly Round, by Old Vic) followed up her maiden hurdle win at Punchestown with another smart performance to win Sunday’s Grade 3 Mares Novice Hurdle at Limerick.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained mare was partnered by Simon Torrens for the first time and raced prominently throughout the two mile and six furlong contest. Producing a challenge at the second last, she was ridden to lead before the final fence and went clear on the run-in to win by three and a quarter lengths.

“She's a lovely big mare that I've always thought plenty of,” Cromwell later commented. “She's going to need a trip in time when she goes over a fence. She's entered in the Grade One in Fairyhouse and all being well she'll go there.”

Bioluminescence was purchased privately by JP McManus following her impressive debut in a four-year-old mares maiden at Boulta. Bred by Mr ARMM Kavanagh, the daughter of Walk In The Park has won or placed on all her starts to date.
