Well Bred Son Of Yeats Runs Out An Impressive Winner

The well-related Firestream (5g Yeats - Swincombe Flame, by Exit To Nowhere) shaped like a useful prospect when drawing clear in Tuesday’s bumper at Exeter.

A promising fourth on debut at Ascot, the full-brother to Grade 2 scorer Master Debonair (Yeats) was next seen finishing second over Tuesday’s course and distance, which saw him sent off favourite under Aidan Coleman. Racing prominently throughout, he was pushed along to lead from over two furlongs out and was eased down close home to win by 11 lengths, with another 16 lengths back to the third horse.

Trained by Anthony Honeyball for Buckingham, Chapman, Langford and Ritzema, Firestream was bred by MC and Mrs Yeo. As well as being a full-brother to a Grade 2 winner, he counts stablemate and dual winner Swincombe Fleat (Yeats) amongst his siblings. Their dam also produced an Order Of St George colt which sold for €36,000 in November, as well as a Milan colt which fetched €54,000 as a foal.
