Westerner Mare Defies Penalty In Style

Prime Time Lady (5m Westerner - Lady Everywhere, by Exit To Nowhere) gained her second consecutive win of the month when landing the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Cartmel on Monday afternoon.

The Mel Rowley-trained mare ran out an impressive 13 length winner last time out and was sent off favourite to follow up under Alex Edwards. Chasing the leader for much of the way, she led from four out and was ridden clear from the final flight to win by three and a quarter lengths.

Bred by MC and Mrs Yeo, Prime Time Lady has now won or been placed on seven of her nine starts. The daughter of Westerner has been owned by the Poplar Cottage Racing Club since two placed efforts for Sean Doyle.
