$325,000 Filly for American Pharoah at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale

It was another big result for American Pharoah late in the second session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale on Tuesday when Speedway Stable struck for a $325,000 filly out of Choice Pearl, the fourth most expensive 2-year-old of the session.

Out of a half-sister to Grade I winner Awesome Humor, Kirkwood Stables consigned the Pine Ridge Stables-bred filly for Midway Gallop. Also from the family of Grade I winners Emcee and Constitution, the filly breezed in :22.0 during last week’s Under Tack Show.

A half-sister to the winning mare Becca Takes Charge, the filly has 16 stakes horses on her catalog page and is bred on the same American Pharoah x Any Given Saturday cross as Group III winner Maven.

The sire of seven stakes winners and 19 stakes horses, Champion Freshman Sire American Pharoah has sired five stakes horses in the past two weeks.
