$325,000 Offering On Top Among Golden Pal Offerings at Keeneland
Weanlings from Golden Pal’s first crop have been in high demand at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, led by a $325,000 filly purchased by Steele Stables.
Selling through co-breeder Nursery Place, the Madera Dancer filly is a half-sister to Group II winner Legends of War and Justify’s stakes placed Tahoma. Born in late March, the filly is also a granddaughter of stakes winner Maxxi Arte, who is out of a winning Shardari half-sister to two stakes performers. Included on the page are Group I winner Linngari and Mont Ormel among others.
Golden Star Farm purchased a colt out of Wysteria from Taylor Made Sales for $290,000.
Bred by Somewhere Stables KY, he is a half-brother to Grade III winner Implicated from the first runner out of Tale of the Cat mare Wysteria. The colt’s stakes placed granddam Smokey Diplomacy is also the dam of Grade III winner Kallio, stakes winner Clear The Runway, and stakes placed Sallisaw among others.
A Golden Pal colt out of Becky’s Best sold from Elm Tree Farm to Cherry Knoll Farm for $250,000.
Bred by Warran Harang, the colt is a half-brother to Practical Joke’s Grade III winner Becky’s Joker. They are out of a half-sister to Grade II winner Vertical Oak, who produced Grade I-placed Giant Mischief, and two other stakes performers out of multiple stakes winner Vertical Vision.
Golden Pal is also the sire of weanlings selling for $240,000, $200,000, $200,000, etc. with a $118,476 average.
