$350,000 Weanling for Jack Christopher at Fasig-Tipton
It was a big Fasig-Tipton November for the three-time Grade I winner Jack Christopher with both his in-foal offering and weanlings selling well.
A weanling by Jack Christopher sold for $350,000 to lead the way for his sire’s weanlings.
Consigned by Wynnstay Sales, the colt purchased by Cavalier Bloodstock is a half-brother to Grade II winner Can Group, Grade III winner Flat Out Speed, and stakes placed Bonnieview. Their dam Blue Gallina saw her 2-year-old win after the catalog was released to take her to four winners from five to race.
There are stakes performers under each of this colt’s four dams on the page with that group including Grade I winner Victory Speech.
The stallion’s lone in-foal mare was the American Pharoah mare Shoppingforpharoah, offered by Mulholland Springs.
Pin Oak Stud wasn’t afraid to go to $850,000 for the half-sister to the dual Grade I winning Seize The Grey, who was also stakes placed herself. Carrying her first foal by Jack Christopher, she is out of a half-sister to the family of Grade I winner Power Broker and stakes winner Fierce Boots.
In all, there are 17 stakes performers named under Shoppingforpharoah’s first three dams.
Jack Christopher also saw his weanlings at the sale bring $195,000, $150,000 etc. in his first crop’s sales debut.
