$700,000 Munnings Colt at OBS April
A colt by Munnings from Senate Caucus was among the top sellers at the OBS April 2YO Sale on Friday when fetching $700,000.
Consigned by Randy Miles, he was bought by Ed and Susie Orr and was a successful pinhook having been bought initially for $100,000 at the Fasig Tipton August Yearling Sale.
He is a half-brother to six winners including stakes-placed Avarice and Fly E Dubai being from a half-sister to the dam of multiple Grade I winner and Champion 3YO Colt Summer Bird.
“He met all our criteria, said Ed Orr.
“There are always a few things we’d like to change about one, we’d maybe be looking for a different page than we bought here, but we liked most all the boxes on him that got checked.”
The star colt will be trained by Steve Asmussen.
