€85,000 for Yeats mare in foal to Champs Elysees

G1-winning Yeats mare Augusta Kate (6m Yeats-Feathard Lady, by Accordion) was one of the stars on show at the Tattersalls Ireland November Sale at Fairyhouse on Friday when selling for £85,000 with a Champs Elysees covering.

Former Republic of Ireland footballer Kevin Doyle signed the buyer’s tickets, seated with his father Paddy and advisor Peter Nolan. Augusta Kate will head to the Doyle family’s Slaney River Stud.

“We have a Champs Elysees foal at home,” said Kevin Doyle. “He’s lovely and we’re keeping him, but the plan will be to sell this mare’s foals.”
