Another Impressive Winner By Order Of St George

Spinningayarn (4g Order Of St George – Floral Spinner, by Alflora) continued Order Of St George’s fantastic start when running out an impressive winner at Killeagh on Wednesday.

The Sean Doyle-trained newcomer was sent off favourite for the four-year-old maiden and was settled in midfield by Jamie Scallan. Taking closer order from two out, he led before the final fence and drew clear on the run-in to win by 10 lengths.

Spinningayarn is now expected to be sold, having cost connections €60,000 at last year’s store sales. Order Of St George is responsible for another two four-year-old maiden winners in Buckna and Future Prospect, who subsequently sold for £350,000 and £150,000 respectively. Mighty Bandit (Order Of St George) set the trend when bolting up on debut at Punchestown, before selling for €420,000.
