Future Prospect (Order of St George) Wins Rules Debut At Fairyhouse

Smart Prospect For Order Of St George

Future Prospect (4f Order Of St George – Mhuire Na Gale, by Norwich) justified her six-figure price tag when making an impressive rules debut at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

Bought for £150,000 after winning on debut for Denis Murphy, the Order Of St George filly made her first start for Willie Mullins, Mrs John Magnier and Bronsan Racing in the four-year-old fillies’ bumper. The bay made all under Patrick Mullins and was full of running as they turned for home. Quickening clear approaching the final furlong, she ran on well to score by nine lengths.

“I was pleasantly surprised how well she picked up,” the winning rider said. “I’d imagine we’ll look to the Dublin Racing Festival with her for the (Grade 2) mares’ bumper. I think she’s the first Order Of St George that we’ve had and I wouldn’t mind a few more of them if they were like that!”

Bred by Margaret Treacy, Future Prospect is a half-sister to useful chaser Wild West Wind (Westerner) and Grade 2 hurdler Whitehotchillifili (Milan).
