Oujda (Sioux Nation) Wins Her Maiden At Compiegne

Bright Future Ahead Of Sioux Nation Filly

Oujda (3f Sioux Nation - La Conseillante, by Elusive Quality) built on her debut promise to make a winning three-year-old return in Sunday’s mile maiden at Compiegne.

The daughter of Sioux Nation was beaten a nose at Chantilly in November, with her debut made more promising by the winner and third’s Classic entries. Dropping back in trip on her second start, she was ridden to make all by Theo Bachelot and was asked to quicken from two furlongs out. Ridden when challenged, she stayed on well to deny Kamiyah by a neck, with another three and a half lengths back to the well-bred third.

Trained by Romain le Dren Doleuze for Youssaf Houar, Oujda was bred by Scea Du Grand Chene. The first crop daughter of Sioux Nation is a half-sister to Group performer War Envoy (War Chant).
