Bugged Out (Echo Town) Wins Gulfstream Maiden

Bugged Out Newest Echo Town Winner

In a busy day for Coolmore America stallions, Echo Town’s Bugged Out (2f Echo Town x Saving Grace, by Super Saver) joined the stallion barn’s parade of winners with a Gulfstream Park victory.

Navigating five furlongs on the synthetic surface, Bugged Out entered an early duel when holding a brief advantage while racing in the two path. She started to pull away after the first call with jockey Edgard Zayas encouraging her to extend around the turn.

The filly drifted in the stretch, but was able to comfortably hold her lead to win by 1 ¼ lengths for a first career victory.

Trained by Kent Sweezy for Starry Night Racing, the filly has placed in the top three in her last three starts with that trio coming at three different tracks.

Bugged Out is one of two winners from three to race out of My Saving Grace. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes placed Bear’s Prospector and out of a half-sister to Grade I winner On a Soapbox, who produced Group II winner Soapy Danger.

Bugged Out’s victory came one day after Echo Town registered his first stakes winner when Elegant Echo won the Oklahoma Classics Lassie Stakes on Friday night.
