Getaway mare scores for Henderson

The Nicky Henderson-trained Verdana Blue (5m Getaway-Blue Gallery, by Bluebird) brought more success for Getaway on Wednesday.

The five-year-old, bred in Ireland by Edmond Kent, took a Hereford mares’ novices’ hurdle by three lengths from Ruby Yeats (6m Yeats-Newbay Lady, by Terimon).

“I popped her out to make sure she got a good view of her hurdles and she was fine so hopefully she will now go on,” jockey Jeremiah McGrath told the Racing Post.
