Impressive Hurdler Completes Smart Sunday Double For Yeats

The Bomber Liston (5g Yeats - True Britannia, by Lujain) proved a class above his rivals when drawing clear to win Sunday’s maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter by ten lengths.

It marked a deserved win for the Nicky Henderson-trained bay, who was placed in both his bumpers before finishing third in his only previous start over hurdles. Owned by JP McManus, the progressive five-year-old was bred by Mrs Una Sinnott.

Earlier in the day at Killarney, Wa Wa (6g Yeats - North Star Poly, by Presenting) led home a 1-2 for Castlehyde Stud sire Yeats in the Beginners Chase at Killarney.

Second on chase debut earlier in the season, he was sent off favourite on his first start for Dermot McLoughlin and obliged by six lengths from Shes Some Doll (Yeats). He becomes the fourth winner bred by Alistair Corrigan out of North Star Poly.
