Promising Son Of Walk In The Park Maintains Perfect Record
Saturday saw Inothewayurthinkin (4g Walk In The Park - Sway, by Califet) make it two from two in the two mile novice hurdle at Gowran Park.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained bay made a perfect start at Cork earlier this month and was well-supported to follow up under Mark Walsh. Racing in touch, he was pushed along to challenge on the run-in and was ridden to lead close home, prevailing by half a length on the line. Grade 3 second Imagine claimed runners-up honours, with three lengths back to the favourite Spanish Harlem in third.
“I’m delighted with that,” Cromwell said after the race. “He knew his job a bit better today and looks a nice one going forward. He’s entered in the Grade 1 novice at Christmas.
Owned by JP McManus and bred by Mrs Noreen McManus, Inothewayurthinkin is a half-brother to Graded performer Ilikedwayurthinkin (Yeats).
