Behind Enemy Lines (Sioux Nation) Wins His Maiden At Dundalk

Sioux Nation Colt Draws Clear To Maiden Victory

Behind Enemy Lines (3c Sioux Nation - Autumn Snow, by Invincible Spirit) proved a class above his rivals in Wednesday’s six furlong maiden at Dundalk.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained colt was sent off the even-money favourite on his second start and was positioned in mid-division by Hugh Horgan. Making headway from two furlongs out, he was shaken up to lead approaching the final furlong and was pushed clear to score by four lengths and three quarters.

“Now he's only starting to mature,” O’Brien’s assistant trainer Brendan Powell said after the race. “He has a lovely action and for a big horse he has got plenty of speed as well.”

A 90,000gns yearling purchase, Behind Enemy Lines runs in the colours of Justin Casse.
