Sioux Nation Filly Impresses With Back-To-Back Wins

Florida Filly (2f Sioux Nation - Cmonbabylitemyfire, by Piccolo) maintained an upward curve when recording smart back-to-back wins at Hamilton on Saturday.

The Iain Jardine-trained bay made all to win a maiden over course and distance last month and was sent off favourite to follow up under a penalty. Making all once again, she was shaken up two furlongs from home and kept on strongly to win by two and a quarter lengths under Paul Mulrennan. Another previous winner kept on in second, while the colt claimed third.

Florida Filly is owned by James Fyffe, who raced her half-sister Orlaith (Fastnet Rock) to win at Listed level and later sold for 185,000gns. Fyffe’s latest winner was bred by Grange Stud and continues an impressive start at stud by Sioux Nation.
