Sister To Master Debonair Makes All To Win Bumper

The Anthony Honeyball-trained Swincombe Fleat (5m Yeats - Swincombe Flame, by Exit To Nowhere) produced a perfect performance to win Thursday’s bumper at Fontwell.

Fourth on debut in November, MC and Mrs Yeo’s homebred was ridden to make all by Ben Godfrey and began to pick up the pace from six furlongs out. Rivals produced their challenges with four furlongs left to race, but the game mare extended her advantage from two furlongs out and kept on well to win by two lengths and three quarters.

Swincombe Fleat was bred to be useful, being a full-sister to Grade 2 winning hurdler Master Debonair (Yeats), and her success bodes well for her four-year-old full-brother.
