Soul Of The Nation (Sioux Nation) Gets Off The Mark At Compiegne

Son Of Sioux Nation Rallies For Maiden Victory

Soul Of The Nation (2g Sioux Nation - Ida The Fox, by Cosa Vera) joined Sioux Nation’s growing list of winners when making a successful step up in trip at Compiegne on Wednesday.

A promising third last month, the Edouard Monfort-trained bay was ridden to make all by Leo Roussel as he stepped up to nine furlongs for the first time. Briefly headed a furlong from home, he battled back to lead by a neck on the line, with the leading pair drawing four and a half lengths clear of the field.

Owned by Sarl Group KR, Soul Of The Nation was bred by Haras du Logis Saint Germain and is closely related to three-time winner Wind Of Change (No Nay Never).

He becomes a 34th individual winner by Sioux Nation, whose first crop boast a strike rate of over 49%, as well as two Group winners and five Group performers.
