Son Of Yeats Proves Different Class On Hurdle Bow

Barony Legends (5g Yeats - Monty’s Sister, by Montelimar) appears to have a bright future over hurdles, having run out an impressive winner of his hurdle debut at Lingfield on Sunday.

The son of Yeats was purchased privately by Bective Stud following his debut second in a four-year-old maiden at Dromahane for Alan Ahern, and followed up with a promising third in a bumper in May. Sent off the even-money favourite on his seasonal return, Olly Murphy’s charge made most of the running and raced clear approaching the final flight. Aidan Coleman guided the bay to a 27 length success, with his rivals strung out behind him.

Closely related to useful chaser Castlebrook (Oscar), Barony Legends was bred by Cathal Ennis out of a half-sister to Vic Venturi.
