Talented Daughter Of Yeats Wins Chase Debut
Talented hurdler Tintangle (6m Yeats - Connaught Hall, by Un Desperado) made a winning start to her chasing career when justifying favoritism in Saturday’s Mares Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse.
The winner of a Listed bumper at four and Grade 1 plaved over hurdles, she was making her first start since early May. Racing over two miles, she chased the leaders under Jack Kennedy, improving to lead from three out and was pushed out to hold off Inishbel by two lengths on the line.
Bred by Kevin O’Brien and owned by Gigginstown House Stud, she was a €52,000 store purchase by Elliott, who trained her half-brother Tombstone to win two Grade 3 contests.
