Duke Of Marmalades all the rage at Tatts with prices up to 340,000gns

After prices of up to 200,000 euros at Goffs the previous week, Duke Of Marmalade’s first crop continued to be in huge demand at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale this week selling for up to 340,000gns.

That price was paid by Demi O’Byrne for colt out of the Night Shift mare Night Frolic sold by Highclere Stud while other buyers included Anthony Stroud, who paid 230,000gns for a colt out of Sherifa (by Monsun) sold by the Castlebridge Consignment.

Other young Dukes made 220,000gns, 160,000gns, 150,000gns, 125,000gns, 120,000gns and 100,000gns (x2) etc and buyers included Blandford Bloodstock, William Haggas, Marco Botti, Sir Mark Prescott, John Hills, Fozzy Stack, Peter and Ross Doyle, John Warren, George Margarson, Gill Richardson and Middleham Park Racing.
