Excellent Art has impressive Curragh G3 winner

Experience (2f Excellent Art-Kloonlara, by Green Desert) looked an outstanding prospect when become Excellent Art’s first Group winner at the Curragh on Saturday.

The David Wachman-trained filly, an easy Navan maiden winner on her previous outing, strolled to a length and three-quarters success in the G3 Grangecon Stud Stakes on Saturday and earned a quote of 20/1 for next year’s G1 1,000 Guineas from bookmaker Stan James.

“She is a classy filly and did it well. She has plenty of speed, a touch of class and would like better ground like a lot of the Excellent Arts,” Wachman told www.irishracing.com

“Wayne (Lordan) was happy with her and she is very straightforward. She has plenty of size and strength, she has a high cruising speed and quickened well. She is in everything, including the G2 Lowther Stakes at York and might step up to seven furlongs later on for the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes.”

Earlier in the day, the Barry Hills-trained Red Art (2c Excellent Art-All Began, by Fasliyev) gave Excellent Art another success when shouldering a penalty to land a Chester novices’ contest.
