Newcomer scores for Most Improved

John Quinn sent out Lisheen Castle (2c Most Improved-Mafaaza, by Jazil) to score in style on his racecourse debut at Hamilton on Friday night.

Jason Hart came late aboard the first-crop Most Improved colt to triumph by a length and a quarter in the novices’ event.

“His stamina kicked in late on and he won going away…. He is promising,” commented the Racing Post’s Analysis.

Bred in Ireland by Adrian Sexton, Lisheen Castle was bought for £50,000 at the Goffs UK breeze-up sale by Richard Knight.
