Power victory for Kirk

Power stallion shot in the field

Trainer Sylvester Kirk was responsible for Power’s latest first-crop winner on Tuesday when Fair Power (2c Power-Pitrizzia, by Lando) easily took a Brighton novices’ event by two lengths.

Tom Marquand made all the running aboard Fair Power to take the six-furlong contest and he was impressed by his mount.

“Fair Power winged the gate and I let him use his speed. As soon as he got company he ran on again. He’s a lovely stamp of a colt,” said Marquand.
