Tempest on a High for Chaparral

Lightly-raced Tempest Fugit (3f High Chaparral-Diary, by Green Desert) brought a Listed victory for High Chaparral at Lingfield on Thursday when winning the River Eden Fillies’ Stakes.

The full-sister to G1 Fillies’ Mile runner-up Lady Darshaan and half-sister to G1 Total Gallery had cost 300,000gns as a foal when bought by Hugo Lascelles for her owner Anthony Oppenheimer.

She looks an exciting future broodmare prospect after seeing off her 13 rivals at Lingfield and impressed jockey Nicky Mackay. “It was a tough task today and she keeps improving with each race,” said the rider.
