$115,000 Colt For Practical Joke During Fifth Session at Keeneland
A half-brother to four stakes horses, Practical Joke’s Hip 1572 continued his sire’s success at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale when bringing $115,000 from McMahon & Hill Bloodstock as agent on Sunday.
Consigned by co-breeder Bedouin Bloodstock, who bred the colt with Timber Town Stables, the bay is a half-brother to stakes winner Shore Runner. His stakes winning dam Miss Mary Pat has also produced Grade III placed Save Rock and Roll, stakes placed and course record breaker Captain Webb, and stakes placed Scatoosh from her eight winners.
Miss Mary Pat is out of stakes placed Missadryannaatto, who comes from the family of Grade II winners Warbling and Mrs McDougal.
A Grade I winner at two and three, Practical Joke’s strong breeding stock sale season has continued at Keeneland November with his 15 weanlings going through the Keeneland ring averaging $102,600 through the sale’s first five sessions.
