$130,000 Filly Kicks Off Sales for Cupid
Cupid’s filly out of My Curlina consigned by St George Sales topped the stallion’s offerings on Wednesday at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase when bringing $130,000 from Autrey Bloodstock.
Out of a half-sister to Grade II placed Victory Nor Defeat and a granddaughter of Grade III-placed Daisyago, the filly’s granddam is a half-sister to the dam of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Spring Meadow.
Bred by Tom Evans and Pam Clark, the filly’s fourth dam is Grade II winner Queen of Song, a sister to Grade I winner Cormorant.
A Grade I winning son of Tapit out of top broodmare Pretty ‘N Smart, Cupid’s first weanlings realized up to $130,000 last winter and were in high demand at Fasig-Tipton with six of eight going to new owners.
