140,000gns Colt for Practical Joke at Tattersalls
It was another successful day during the closing session of the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale for Practical Joke when his colt out of Sky Saver brought 140,000gns from Michael O’Callaghan.
The fifth most expensive of the second session, the Powerstown Stud-offered colt was the 19th most expensive of the sale with Practical Joke’s 360,000gns filly taking home top sale honors.
Offered as Hip 90, the colt was a $75,000 yearling at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase when purchased by Thomas Whitehead.
Bred by Ramspring Farm, the Practical Joke son is a half-brother to three-time winner Emperor’s Choice and out of a half-sister to multiple Grade II-placed Majestic Quality and Grade III-placed Diski Dance.
