$200,000 Filly for Practical Joke
It was another good day at the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale for Practical Joke when his daughter out of Thisoleheartofmine sold for $200,000 to Mark Glatt.
Consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, the filly is the first foal out of her placed dam by Point of Entry. Thisoleheartofmine comes from a proven family of producers as a half-sister to Grade III winner Woodlander and stakes winner Admiral Alex with her siblings also producing Grade II winners Azar and Coal Front and stakes winner Conquest Titan.
Also from the family of Refuse to Bend, Go and Go, and Rich Tapestry, the January-born filly was bred by Hunter Valley Farm, Jay Rice, Keith Lazarz, and Pat Barrett.
A three-time Grade I winner himself, Practical Joke’s first yearlings have averaged $121,735 led by a $575,000 colt after seeing his first crop at last winter's breeding stock sales sell for up to $320,000.
