€235,000 for Mendelssohn Filly at Arqana
A Mendelssohn filly represented her sire well at the Arqana August Yearling Sale when she brought €235,000 ($277,208) from Daithi Harvey and Highland Yard.
Consigned by Haras de l’Hotellerie, the filly is out of stakes-placed Royal Story, who is out of a half-sister to Grade I winner Persistently. Descending from top racemare and broodmare Heavenly Prize, the filly also sees Grade I winner Good Reward, Grade II winner Pure Prize, Grade III winner Stays In Vegas, and Grade I-placed Faithfully on the page.
The filly is the latest 2021 success for Mendelssohn, whose top yearling so far this year is a $435,000 filly sold at last week’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale.
