$400,000 Filly for Munnings at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic
Coming on the heels of siring two juvenile winners already this year, Munnings’ juveniles at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale were led by a Lael Stable purchased filly early in the first session.
Selling as Hip 56 for $400,000, the Tom McCrocklin offering bred by Newstead Corp is the third out of the Grade II winner and multiple Grade I-placed Gold Medal Dancer. Gold Medal Dancer is a third-generation stakes performer with her dam Bachata winning a stakes and finishing second in another.
Granddam Meadow Vista was also graded stakes placed in addition to producing four stakes producing daughters as well. Among of those produced by her daughter is the stakes winner and Grade I-placed Meadow Dance with Grade II-placed Lieutenant Colonel also a grandson of Meadow Vista.
Gold Medal Dancer had a yearling Uncle Mo colt last year and another colt by that Ashford stallion in 2024.
Munnings is a proven sire of juveniles with 25 stakes winners and 51 stakes performers in the age group including Grade I winners Eda and Jack Christopher.
