$450,000 For Practical Joke Filly at OBS March
The first foal out of the winning Scat Daddy mare Fierce Scarlett was a popular one at the OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale when C H P Racing went to $450,000 to acquire the Practical Joke daughter.
Offered by Niall Brennan, the Stoneriggs Farm-bred comes from a page dripping with blacktype and a full sister to Triple Crown winner Affirmed as her third dam. The juvenile’s dam is a half-sister to the stakes winner and Grade II-placed Thank U Philippe with their dam She Did Tell producing seven winners in all.
She Did Tell is a half-sister to the Grade I winner Senor Pete with 18th stakes performers in all under the three dams on the page.
The Practical Joke x Scat Daddy cross has turned into a very successful one with 25 of the 26 runners winning at least one race and 20 percent of the runners winning a stakes race and 12 earning blacktype.
Four of those stakes winners have won at the Grade I level with two other placed in Grade I races.
