$77,000 Colt Leads Way For Cupid During Keeneland’s Fourth Session
Cupid’s half-brother to stakes winning Muskoka Wonder sold as Hip 1168 for $77,000 at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Saturday to One More Time Bloodstock.
Consigned by Four Star Sales on behalf of breeder William D. Graham’s Windhaven Farms, the chestnut colt is out of a half-sister to dual Grade I winner Wemissfrankie and Grade II place Stop Smiling. His dam, No Wonder, is the dam of three winners from three to race including Muskoka Wonder.
There is stakes success throughout the family with the extended family including Grade I winner Stormy Pick.
The colt was one of two weanlings from Cupid’s first crop selling on Saturday with the first foal out of stakes winning Defining Hope selling for $70,000 late in the session to Equine Associates from Four Star Sales as well.
Grade I winner Cupid’s first foals have sold well at Keeneland, topped by a $130,000 filly sold to Patrice Miller on the first day of the sale from breeder-consigner Runnymede Farm.
