Beyond Mybudget Off The Mark for Munnings
Returning from a small layoff, Beyond Mybudget (3f Munnings x Amiable Grace, by Alphabet Soup) looked impressive in a Maiden Special Weight win at Woodbine.
Racing over seven furlongs, Beyond Mybudget ran wide throughout just behind the leader until they entered the far turn. It was then that she made her first move when she went to the lead. The filly had a few lengths on the rest of the field in the stretch and was only tapped a few times with jockey Jerome Lermyte choosing instead to give her a hand ride.
In the end it paid off with Beyond Mybudget still having three quarters of a length on the field at the wire while easing down.
The Conrad Farms-raced filly was making only her third career start for trainer Mark Casse with the filly a $105,000 Keeneland September Yearling turned $200,000 OBS March buy for Conrad Farms.
The filly is out of stakes winner and Grade III-placed Amiable Grace, who is one of two stakes winners for stakes placed Marquise Miss with another one of that mare’s daughters the dam of Grade II winner Awesome Baby.
It’s another top year for Munnings who is among the top sires in every category with 10 stakes winners, five graded stakes winners, 19 stakes horses,1 10 graded stakes horses, and four Grade I performers in 2020.
