Boldor An Impressive Winner For Munnings
Boldor (4c Munnings x Senate Caucus, by Siphon) made his 2020 debut a winning one with a three-length victory at Oaklawn Park.
Running over six furlongs, Boldor raced outside the pack in the first few furlongs as he jockeyed for position early on. Running just behind the leaders in the turn, when they entered the stretch Boldor was ready to put the race to bed and shot to the lead.
Boldor was clearly full of run so jockey Tyler Baze gave him just a few reminders before putting away the stick and letting him cruise home for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Owned by Ed and Susie Orr, Boldor was second last out in the OBS Sprint Stakes and took his career to three wins and three other top three finishes for over $200,000 in earnings with the victory. Bred by Carlos S.E. Moore and Gillian Gordon-Moore, Boldor was a $700,000 2-year-old purchase by the Orrs from Randy Miles in 2018.
Boldor is a half-brother to stakes placed Avarice and Fly E Dubai with his three-time winning dam returning to Munnings in 2019.
One of the biggest value sires in Kentucky, Munnings has had an excellent weekend with a stakes double on Saturday.
