Cupid Strikes at Fasig-Tipton October With $120,000 Filly
Cupid’s yearling season success continued during the opening session of the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale on Monday with a $120,000 filly.
Purchased by Breeze Easy from breeder Susan Y. Foreman’s consignment, the Ontario-bred filly out of It’s Bear Time was the second most expensive by a freshman sire in the opening session.
The filly is the third foal from her winning Gilded Time dam It’s Bear Time, a granddaughter of Grade II-placed Nijit. That mare is the dam of Spanish Parade, who is the granddam of graded stakes winner and Grade I producer Untouched Talent with dual Grade I winner She’s a Julie also under Spanish Parade’s name.
Grade I winner Cupid’s first yearlings have sold for $200,000, $190,000, $160,000, $130,000, $120,000, etc. this sales season with his first weanlings selling for up to $130,000 last winter.
