Cupid’s Music Easy MSW Winner for Cupid
The Danele Durham bred, owned, and trained Cupid’s Music (2f Cupid x Soft Music, by Action This Day) became the latest winner for Grade I winner Cupid on Wednesday night with a Maiden Special Weight victory at Remington Park.
Racing a mile over the Oklahoma City track’s dirt oval, Cupid’s Music was piloted four paths off the rail into the first turn. Running comfortably in that spot, she raced a few lengths off the leader in third before moving closer going into the far turn.
As they entered the final turn, she was at the pacemaker’s throat latch and she had the lead as they galloped pasted the quarter pole. Jockey Luis Quinonez had little work to do in the stretch as his mount showed her best to win easily by a geared-down three lengths.
Cupid's Music is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Bling on The Music and stakes-placed Lullaby Bling out of two-time winner Soft Music.
There are five stakes horses under Cupid's Music’s second dam, led by the stakes winning duo of Super Marina and Spanish Point with her extended family including stakes winner and multiple Grade I-placed Inca Roca.
Cupid’s 10 winners from his first crop includes three stakes performers and two stakes winners – the most stakes performers of any first crop Tapit son this year.
