Demand for Practical Joke Weanlings Continues at Keeneland November

A Practical Joke filly from the Summerfield consignment sold for $185,000 to Brookstone Farm as Hip 365 during the second session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

A half-sister to Tale of the Cat’s Grade II placed Rebel Tale, the filly was bred by Parrish Hill Farm and Ashford Stud. Her young dam Purr and Prowl has already proven to be a talented broodmare as the dam of two winners from two to race.

Purr and Prowl comes from a stakes producing family with six of her half-siblings either stakes horses or the producers of stakes horses. The mare was served by Air Force Blue this year.

Practical Joke has proven to be a popular first-crop sire for breeders with his two weanlings offered at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Fall Sale topping the sale.
