Golden Pal Weanlings Set for Fasig-Tipton November

Two-time Breeders’ Cup winner Golden Pal’s first crop kicks off the breeding stock sales season with five on offer at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale on Monday.

Buyers won’t have to wait long to see the first Golden Pal weanling with Eaton Sales sending a colt through as Hip 3.

That colt is a half-brother to the stakes placed Pivotal Mission and out of the winning Pivotal mare Opal Blue. Opal Blue is one of six winners overall out of Aricia alongside the stakes winning trio of Oh Beautiful, Freedom’s Light, and Face The Facts. This page is strong throughout with Broodmare of the Year Halfway to Heaven and Grade I winners Magical, Rhododendron, Victoria Road, and Photo Call also named.

A filly out of a half-sister to Grade I winner Morning Line sells as Hip 13 through Legacy Bloodstock.

This colt out of Sastrugi sees two of her dam’s other siblings earning blacktype, including the stakes winning Liam’s Pride. Sastrugi is also a half-sister to the dam of stakes winner Rightandjust and granddams of Grade III winner Order and Law and stakes placed Condensation.

Sastrugi is a granddaughter of dual Grade I winner November Snow, whose descendants include champion Bounding and Grade I winners Express Train and Anthony Van Dyck.

A full sister to Grade II winner Daddy Long Legs is the dam of Hip 14, a colt offered by Greenfield Farms for Sierra Farm.

The filly is a half-sister to two winners from three to race out of Scattered Rain, whose siblings also include the multiple stakes winning Tres Dream and the dam of stakes placed Dreamwoorker. Two of the colt’s first four dams won stakes themselves while three of them produced stakes winners. In all, the colt’s page has 13 stakes winners and four other stakes performers.

A half-brother to Grade III winner Island Commish sells as Hip 76 through Taylor Made Sales.

Island Commish is one of six winners out of the winning Bide a Wee Island, who is one of eight winners out of her own stakes placed dam. That dam, Our Mariah, produced three stakes performers including multiple Grade II winner Something Extra and stakes winner Ciuri. Our Mariah is one of two stakes performers out of her own dam, whose other is the Grade I-placed Miss Normal with Grade II winners Nicole H and Gun Song under her daughter’s name.

The final Golden Pal to sell at Fasig-Tipton is a New York-bred daughter of the stakes placed Fenwick Hall selling with Ballysax Bloodstock as Hip 109.

Fenwick Hall has produced three winners from three aged three or older with a 2-year-old still to come this year. The Freud mare is a full sister to the multiple stakes winning Miss Narcissist, whose son Ego Man won his 12th career race after the catalog was released. This is a productive family with the four dams listed producing 29 winners from 34 runners.

Multiple daughters of those mares have also produced winners and stakes winners with 13 stakes winners named on the page.

The Fasig-Tipton November Sale starts at 2pm ET on Monday.
