Joke Sisi Gives Practical Joke Chilean G3 Winner
Practical Joke recorded a new stakes winner on Saturday when Joke Sisi (2f Practical Joke x Lucky Sisi, Lookin At Lucky) stayed undefeated with an impressive performance in the Group III Clasico Seleccion de Potrancas in Chile.
The six-furlong dirt race saw Joke Sisi race straight to the lead at Hipodromo Chile, where she was joined by another runner with the pair swapping the lead down the backstretch. As they entered the stretch, Joke Sisi stepped into another gear and in only a few strides was well ahead of the field.
She coasted home by an easy four lengths for Identic Stud and trainer Juan Pablo Baeza, her second open length victory. The filly also won her debut by a runaway 15 ¾ length in late January.
Bred by Agricola Taomina Ltd., Joke Sisi is out of Lookin At Lucky’s Group II winning daughter Lucky Sisi and comes from the family of Lookin At Lucky’s Group I winner Kurilov in addition to Scat Daddy’s Group I winner Kitcat and Knockout.
In all, there are nine stakes performers under Joke Sisi’s first three dams, led by five Group I winners.
Practical Joke has seven worldwide stakes winners and three graded stakes winners with nine stakes performers overall. The group is led by the Grade III winning and dual Grade I-placed Wit and Grade III winner Girl With a Dream
