Mane Attraction A Runaway Winner For Munnings
Peter Mirabelli-homebred Mane Attraction (3f Munnings x Cassidy’s Pride, by Medaglia d’Oro) impressed on Sunday when romping home by 7 1/2 lengths at Gulfstream Park.
Racing over five furlongs on the dirt track, Mane Attraction raced a few paths off the rail just behind the leaders with Mario Fuentes aboard.
The filly clicked into gear around the turn and made her move as they came into the stretch, drawing even with the leaders before quickly pulling away. There was no stopping the 3-year-old as she continued to draw away under a hand ride by 7 ½ lengths.
Trained by Tamara Levy for her breeder, Mane Attraction is out of listed winner Cassidy’s Pride who has produced three winners from four to race and is a daughter of Grade III winner Cassidy.
From the family of Group I winner Priolo, Mane Attraction is bred on the same Munnings x Medaglia d’Oro cross that produced Munnings’ Grade III winner Barkley among five winners.
