Maximum Security Colt Impressive in Maiden-Breaking Run
Analog Jones (2c Maximum Security x Glenmary Lane, by Fairbanks) was the latest Maximum Security winner on Saturday with a Parx Maiden Special Weight victory.
Racing just over a mile, the Swilcan Stables homebred jumped to the lead and dominated the race out of the gate. There were no challengers for the colt, who built his margin at every call before being allowed to coast home by Mychel Sanchez down the stretch.
Even when allowed to go at his own pace, Analog Jones won by a widening 10 ¾ lengths to show why he was the heavy favorite in the race.
Trained by Robert Reid, Analog Jones has placed in three of his four starts – all at the Maiden Special Weight level.
The colt out of Glenmary Lane is a half-brother to stakes winner Navy Commander and three other winners to make his dam a 100% producer. Glenmary Lane is a half-sister to the stakes winning duo of Phil Dancer and Ann’s Smart Dancer.
The extended family also includes Grade I winner Cogburn.
He is the eighth winner for Maximum Security, whose winners also include the stakes placed Rosa Salvaje.
